WHALE WATCHING
Costa Rica is one of the best places in the world to see Humpback whales! They migrate to the Nicoya Peninsula from July to September and our boat tours are the best option to view whales up close. Learn about their natural history and even listen to their complex singing live with our hydrophone! We will begin the experience with a presentation to learn about the biology and ecology of the Humpback whales, followed by a private boat ride with a knowledgeable guide. We pride ourselves on our respectful approach to marine wildlife and always follow the best practices for responsible whale watching. The boat tour will last three hours and is suitable for all ages. You can either book a private boat or join a group.

Wildlife & sightseeing tour
This is a three-hour exploration of the local area perfect for families and young children. You will spend your trip discovering the southern tip of the Nicoya Peninsula as we cruise around the Cabo Blanco nature reserve and search for wild animals which inhabit this region such as coastal birds, sea turtles and mobula rays. We will then spend some time offshore in search of pelagic species such as dolphins and whales. Your experienced marine life expert will provide information about the local marine wildlife, rock formations and the tropical pacific coastline you see along the way.

Snorkelling & wildlife tour
This unique tour combines wildlife sightseeing and snorkelling! After exploring the coastline and open ocean for marine wildlife we will go to Cabuya’s cemetery island for snorkelling in shallow waters. Your private snorkel guide will aim to show you pelagic and rocky reef species of fish and other creatures that inhabit the warm Pacific waters. This four-hour experience is suitable for all ages and skill levels and includes all of the snorkel equipment.

open ocean adventure
This trip is an exciting, adventurous, once in a lifetime tour that is a photographer’s dream. Start your day with a tour around the Nicoya coastline before heading right out to sea for the remainder of the trip to search for bait balls surrounded by the most elegant hunters in the sea! The ocean may be deep, but larger fish corral baitfish to the surface, the baitfish then form a defensive baitball which attracts swarms of sea birds diving into the water to snatch the fish. That is the visual signal that we will look for to find the action. If the conditions are suitable, we will snorkel around the bait balls, hoping to get glimpses of sailfish, tuna, spinner dolphins and other pelagic species. The full-day tour (approx. 7 hours) is suitable for adults that are comfortable on boats and with previous snorkelling experience. Lunch is provided.
